History
In response to guidance from His Highness Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan AL-Nahyan, the 1st Chancellor of the UAE, regarding nurturing human begins in the UAE on foundations of knowledge and science, contribution to development, leadership in the reconstruction of the State and readjustment to the challenges precipitated by the twenty-first century revolution of technology and mass media.
And with reference to Federal Decree No. (4) issued in the year 1994 regarding the Ministry Of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (1), 1992 regarding rules and regulations of licensing higher education institutions, and to the MOHE document "Standards for Licensure and Accreditation 2003".
And in accordance with the application submitted by Hamad Suhail Al-Khaili to the MoHE on April 17, 2004
And upon acquaintance with all items and studies conducted for the purpose of establishing this educational monument with its own vision, constructive philosophy and creative mission,
And in assertion to the role of the private sector in the field of development, Hamad Suhail Al-Khaili has established Al-Ain University of Science and Technology with full commitment to the rules and regulations issued by the MoHE.
